It's £13m with add-ons to £16m, hence why it's generally reported as £16m. Best place for this is generally Transfer Markt. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/jordan-henderson/transfers/spieler_61651.html
Sunderland fans claim 20 million and Liverpool fans 13 million. In reality it would be somewhere in between. 16/17 million. Similar to Kagawa to United move now which is 15 million euros rising to 22.
We report it as 13m with the 3m add ons which equals 16m which is why everyone reports it has 16m Plenty of young signings have add ons which are often missed by the media.
So using a combination of transfermarkt + other reports of fee + reports of add ons. Is the most likely fee not £16m rising to £20m? There's basically no mention of £13m anywhere.
although i still think thats a decent price. he has potential, hes a good player, and can play in more than one postion. although he needs more game time in CM to show himself off.
Haven't once claim it was just 13m, always 13m with another 3m add ons. It's like us with Sterling. He cost us 600k raising to 5m but everyone reports it as just 5m
Last season everyone was sucking Henderson off, but now one bad season out of position he's crap. 16m in total is a good price for a very promising young footballer.
Whenever he has played CM he has been good... Hoping he continues his development in that position because he could be a top player for us in the future.
Nah ftr, I said right from the start that he was overpriced and should have been less. You have to put it in context though. Sigurdsson for £7mill when he's less than a year older than Henderson, and a better player already with similar potential surely shows it's not that great a price.
hard to say if hes much better tbf. he did well in a swansea team where he was almost top boy straight away, playing in his position. henderson ahs gone to a new team, with a few egos and often played out of position. also, i think sigurdson is more of a steal at 7 mill than henderson massively overpriced at 16.
