From this angle, it does look slightly dangerous... still a harsh red card but we didn't lose the game because of this decision.
cheers. FFS it tackles like that typify english football imo (cue baxter abuse :ninja: ) thats a fucking good tackle in my eyes..... faor cause he smashed the ball first, but also cause he got a bit of the oppostion player (dembele maybe?) it really pisses me off when fouls are given for this, let alone red cards! but before people say anything, i know its now the era of football we play in that almost any tackle that makes contact with the oppostion player, irrespective of whether he gets the ball first, people are asking for red cards.
Yeah. Seeing that, it's not even a yellow in my eyes. Got the ball first and then falls over like an idiot and was very unfortunate to catch the player. No malice in there.
It was Dembele who was brilliant today, we could do a lot worse than signing him. Plus we need to sign some one who plays for Belgium :ninja:
Would be a very good signing but don't see where he would fit in the Spurs starting 11 to be honest. Modric Parker Lennon VDV Bale Ade He can play in any attacking position and a very clever player so would be an excellent squad player. I think he would comfortable get into our starting 11.
Watch the gif, his feet are on the ground when he takes the ball, but he's clearly not in control of the tackle because of what happens afterwards.
Would be interesting to see him at a club like Arsenal, would suit their style of football that's for sure He's a very clever player, always seems to find space on the pitch. But, he needs to add more goals to his game.
Rage at the loss. Rage at the red card. Rage at Reina. Rage at how Henderson's shot did not go ib. And a wtf to bellamy receiving his yellow card.
So sick of seeing referee's deciding games instead of the players, fucking disgusting, happening across the world as well, something has to be done
Reina was good throughout the game and about Spearing's card, I don't really get how it was a red card. It was more of a clearance, he got the ball and just went under the challenger, wasn't a two-footed tackle like Drogba/Torres made earlier in the league. Oh and I still wonder how David Luiz's foul was only a yellow and this tackle of Spearing gets a red, funny officials I guess. I wouldn't even say that Spearing deserved an yellow for that, pretty good tackle IMO.
