I know not many of you could actually care less about what is in this thread but i would just like to make a thread about how Bennett has turned this team around into defiant premier contender's.

Firstly the Dragon's have not won their first 4/5 games of the season for as long as i can remember. Beating the likes of the Titan's and the underfieted Broncos( at that moment of time) and only going down to Storm by 1 at Olympic park commonly known as the graveyard. Currently being first on the ladder is defiantly a shock especially to those through and through Dragons fans like myself...

Bennett has to be one of the main factors we are also Ranked number one in defence and picking up our act in Attack. Soward's performance this year has already topped his performances last year and i can honestly say without any biasism that if he stay's fit i honestly think he has the chance to play for the Blues. The battle will be tight with Pearce, Wallace and also Sutton playing outstanding this season. It will be a tight decision that will most likely be made last minute and also DEFENCE will play a main part in the decision...

The up and coming junior's such as Jarrod Saffy and Matt Prior also playing the footy they are atm will see them reach higher achievements IMO.Prior is going to be the next big thing. His work rate on the field is outstanding and obviously Bennett has seen something in him to play him ahead of Costigan and Scott in the backrow.

There is no biast talk here but i honestly think we have a chance this season. I'm not saying we can go all the way this year but in the next few season's i think we will win have a decent chance....

Love the Dragons team this year.

I thought they'd struggle for props but Weyman and Saffy have been gun. Hell, even generally useless sack of crap they call 'Dan Hunt' played well last night.

Beau Scott's defence in the centres is almost orgasmic, and Prior! PRIOR!!!

  3. Lordeman JA Robertson

And that's not even mentioning the fullback!!

  4. Alec AD Funkotron

I hate it when our bogey sides actually have a chance of winning the premiership.

  5. Old Mate M Perry

I hate it when our bogey sides use the Broncos as a feeder club. :(

    I told you so...

Rob you argued we would lack depth in the front row, but i told you we would be ok, you didnt listen.

    Time to eat humble pie.

Dragons are awesome this year. Always liked them, but these group of guys have what it takes.

    Top 4, easily.

Soward is no chance for NSW atm. Not unless injuries strike 3-4 other players.

  9. Bender BG Herd

At a prty i went to last night we ended up chucking the footy on while drinking.
Dragons game was orsm, just all of us screaming BIG DELLLL!!!! and shit everytime he touched the ball or did something.

****ing went off heaps when he smashed inu and when he scored that try.

This eventually led to "Big Dell Facts", ala chuck norris.

    From what i remember >_>

    3-4??

    Try one. Campese.

IMO they'd go Wallace, Lewis, Gidley and even Anasta at 5/8 before they'd try Soward.

  12. Colesy BL Hornby

None of the first three you mentioned are 5/8s in any capacity. If Soward keeps playing the way he is i cant see how you would be so against him playing.

  13. Old Mate M Perry

I said who I think they'd opt with at 5/8 before Soward, not who I want or that I'm against Soward playing - I'm indifferent over it.

Wallace plays 5/8 quite regularly at the Broncos actually and would have no problem playing there, quite a few people think he is actually a better 5/8 than halfback (I think he plays both equally well). Lewis could do it quite easily as well IMO and Gidley could as well.

Please pick Soward if NSW want to lose 4 in a row. Simple as that. Soward will never be an origin player, the fact of the matter is he is just too small. Why do you think Campbell never got a run in Origin even when he was the Dally M player of the year? Soward would get killed in defense. Even defending him on the wing will not do any good, either Folau will kick his ass or Inglis will kick his ass. It will never happen and if it does, the selectors are out of their minds.

Poore injured again, Costigan a suspetced broken hand and Waymen going to the judicury ( can't spell it ) with a poor record aswell :(

  16. Colesy BL Hornby

Yeah poor re-did his hand and Costigan broke his right hand.

Weyman will probably get a week due to carry over points etc.

I thought the tackle was nothing though.

We might struggle up front next week.

  17. AVA T Delonge

The thing that might get Waymen was that is was a swinging arm to the head, so you can't really argue that his arm bounced up etc. With carry over points I suspect 1 week, maybe 2 if he tries challenging and fails.

YEAH, and that's the Dragons lacking depth in the front row!
