Changes to the site before the next CS season

After you learnt how to tie your left shoelace, did you ask your parents to teach you how to tie the right one or did you just figure out that you could apply your knowledge beyond the limited scope for which you learnt it originally?

Tbh it really wouldn't surprise me at all if you'd asked them at this point.

 

He did not. He asked if there was a way to get them. If I ask if there's a way to get to the moon, the correct answer is "yes", not a detailed explanation of how to do it. Telling him they were separated definitely seemed like the most accurate way to answer his absurd false dichotomy. I'm sure I would have got a less polite answer than the one I gave originally had I asked "Is there a way to get to the Moon individually, or is it combined with Cyprus?"

Honestly, provincial OD stats being against my religion would've been a more likely explanation for him not being able to find them than them being combined with another comp, particularly given it explicitly states what the stats he was looking at there. Genuine WTF. The second most likely answer was 'no, we don't have a page for that'. I just don't get how he mind works sometimes; I want to get in there and fix it, or destroy it if I can't.

 

If MP had asked that I probably would have answered 'properly' but only to avoid further questions. The correct answer would have been yes.

As I've said many times though, my gripe is really the mentioning of them being combined. It really threw me; I had no idea how to begin explaining how off track he was. If nothing else it showed he gave zero thought to it before deciding to bump a vaguely related thread for the ol' +1. Maybe if I just view them as +1s and infract him for spam instead of assuming he really is that dumb I'll be a happier Cribbage. Even if he actually is that dumb it might make him try harder to use his head before asking stupid questions if they get spam infractions.

 

No! Stop making this straw man! No-one thinks you're dumb when you don't have certain knowledge. People think you're dumb when you don't apply the knowledge you actually do have and need to be spoon-fed every single fact. There are some things in life you can actually figure out without being told directly. Shock horror. Not knowing the comp number thing was fine, but the combined thing, in combination with all your other stupid questions.. you're either an idiot or a spammer, I'm sorry. You'll have to pick one.

The fact that you don't seem to think it's possible to know the stats weren't combined without actually being told really speaks volumes tbh. Either in being a genius and making me bite again so you can have another reply with a +1 or just being an idiot.
