I imagine if Lockyer does play Manly will probably have George Rose and Tony Williams run at him all game.
I liked it how Griffindor said kind of a subtle "fuck off" to all the people weighing in their opinions in the media saying what Lockyer should and shouldn't do.
The one thing I'm happy that Henjak did was bring in all the rookies. I think I might have said it back then that it'll be very good for us in the future. Now Griffin is getting the most out of them, and they'll just keep getting better with age and finals experience next year.
Is it true Locky might loose or have affected eyesight if he plays and cops a hit? Pretty massive risk if so.
According to the (ex?) Manly doctor. The same doctor who was apparently saying Andrew Johns could die if he played in the 97 grand final... also against Manly.
Apparently 2 doctors have come out and said it and the surgeon said 6 weeks, he's not even allowed to fly because his eye might blow up lol. Bones and shit you can understand but if his eyesight is at any risk surely he won't play. Feel bad for him but seriously not worth it. Apparently he flew down in a chopper at low altitude today...
Like Griffin said, they are just trying to get their names in the paper. Every injury is different, and only Lockyer, the staff and his doctor should make the decision.
His doctor recommended 6 weeks... I'm tipping he wont play if his eyesight is at risk, nor should the Broncos allow him if it's a genuine possibility. If he does I agree with Ged play him at fullback in defence, taking runs is going to do less damage than having to tackle Tony Williams.
They'd make sure to try to have him come in to help makes tackles after someone like Thaiday made the initial contract. And besides, having him play fullback is a beyond retarded idea anyway.
