  10. Chewie JA Chewie

Well I'm still reasonably high up :)

  11. Cribbage RG Cribb

You'd be third if they were proper rankings too because Furball has only got out once. Maybe even second.

  12. Howe JHF Howe

Can't really imagine who's going to be bowling for England. Ridd, maybe Nova, and then everyone else is averaging over 44.

    Incidentally, who's the England selector?

  13. Eddie EI Morris

    Mouse?

Happy with 14th. Moved up a few ranks. Didn't realise Hughes was going so well with the ball though.

  15. Iridium IT Lee

27th :( Couldn't maintain my good form at the start of the comp.

All your bowling innings seem to follow a similar pattern.

    1. The opposition batsmen come out and try to get on top of Eggman/Smith.
    2. They fail miserably end up 20/2 or some such score.
    2. Gazza and Welker come on afterwards and the batsmen are really defensive because they've lost early wickets.
    3. Frizzed comes off after five and Hughesy comes on; Gazza continues. With the low run-rate and part-time spinner operating, the batsmen attack a bit more - but if fails and Hughesy takes an early bag.
    4. Frizzed comes back on from Gazza's end and gets blocked until the 40 over mark.
    5. Fiery cleans up the tail.

End result is something like this:

    Eggman 2/45
    Fiery 3/45
    Gazza 2/40
    Frizzed 0/35
    Hughes 3/50

I'm one of the worst allrounders, probs.

  19. Skippos SM Morgan

nice! and to think i was contemplating dropping myself after the 6th game or something where i hadn't got over 44 and my last 5 games i'd averaged like 20!

  20. Howe JHF Howe

Indeed, that was impressively blind of me.

    So, we've got

    1. McGrath (50.90)
    2. Logan (40.73, 46.71)
    3. Verigotta (128.32)
    4. Nova (167.81, 15.51)
    5. Fittman (45.26)
    6. Hornby (35.43) / Clough (35.20)
    7. Morris (25.53)
    8. Deane? (15.68, 70.78)
    9. Farnsworth/McDougal/Martyn
    10. Ridd (13.94)
    11. Edwards (18.98)

No competition to contest Eddie's place.

8 & 9 options have terrible List A records. Could pick Blunder/Howe/Dyer out of the Plate for no.9. Could go with 5 seamers and leave spin up to Veri.
