All the blokes on the Sharks forum rave about Sam Tomkins.

Why can't everyone accept that they don't know much about the Super league (cloughie excluded).

There are a few here who watch it quite frequently. Hunter for one.

Has he been only good in the NSW cup? Newtown isn't it?

The pack is immense, backline will struggle overall against the size of the other nations. The only real downside is the halves due to their lack of international experience but the some what of a plus they've played together a dickload. They've done the best they could with what players they had available bar the halves where a solid, proven #7 would do wonders(the likes of Deacon, Burrow, etc.)

Backline is pretty rank. England were always going to have a pretty average backline but that's just dire by Test standards. I don't even really think it'd make a good NRL backline.

    Definitely would've picked Deacon.

Hall and Shenton are solid. Briscoe and Atkins could well be a worry though. That and if they get an injury in the backline the replacement is far inferior. On the other hand Tomkins is god like.

I would seriously consider picking Widdop.

Where though? It'd be a gamble to play him anywhere but fullback and even there 1.Tomkins 6.Brown 7.Robinson >>>>>> 1.Widdop 6.Brown 7.Tomkins. The other alternative being 1.Widdop 3.Brown 6.Tomkins 7.Robinson although Brown hasn't played there in ~2 years.

Yeah, that's the problem. I'd play him in the centres but I worry about his defence there.

Plays for Newtown, isn't anything amazing.

He may not be as exposed as the centres were last year seeing Inglis is out. The current Aussie and NZ shouldn't trouble them as much.
