I think their logic is that the ref blowing the whistle is a stoppage, but not technically a whistle for full time which is insane. Absolute garbage situation that I feel they can't just choose to ignore, but I think they will.

Yep Annesley tries to explain that away in the below link.

    I’ve never read more rubbish in my life. Lots of it just doesn’t even make sense like;

““There are no boundaries around that other than it has to be a stoppage initiated by the referee and it has to result in a structured re-start, which in this case was the penalty given as a result of this incident.”

“Has to result in a structured re-start” - so what if the challenge wasn’t successful… then there would’ve been no structured re-start which would’ve meant they were incorrect to allow a challenge because it didn’t result in a structured re-start? That’s a really odd set of criteria to decided whether a captain can challenge or not.

I think it makes sense, except for this instant that they're trying to apply it.

The structured restart is the only way you can really have a challenge, otherwise teams could use the challenges to kill momentum

Lol, val was over the line on the kick off which shouldn't be allowed. Tamou even picked up on it

Nofa to storm for the rest of the year. Not a fan at all
  6. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh not at all a good advert for the loan system unless Tigers are genuinely just looking to offload him but by the sounds of it he'll be back there next year.
  7. AVA T Delonge

    Get fukt Cleary

Cleary is very lucky Brown came out of that ok otherwise I reckon that would have been just about season over. I imagine he'll still cop a month on the sidelines and with no Luai it makes for an interesting lead into the finals.
  9. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

It has to cop the same charge that Lawton got, and he got 4-5, IIRC.
  10. AVA T Delonge

Yeah Lawton got 4 and Cleary has loading, so seems like he'll be facing 5 weeks.
  11. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I won't be surprised if he only gets 2-3.
  12. Magic AJ Parker

That's got to be one of the most conical bombed tries of all time. Naden just had to catch it and put it down but he's standing outside the field of play
  13. AVA T Delonge

It took him a second to realise as well, insane. I dont think it clicked until he realised the corner post was in the way.
  14. Magic AJ Parker

"No intent to strip". It was blatant...

On the back of Capewell's undertaker impression bunker doesn't seem to hold any remorse for last week towards the Tigers.
  15. Magic AJ Parker

That didn't look good on Hastings.

Somehow Gee found a penalty against the Tigers when it was so blatant live that was a hip drop following a Broncos knock on ruled a Tigers knock on.

    Tigers fans still mentally ok?
  16. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Broncos were give every opportunity to win this. Horrid performance.
  17. Magic AJ Parker

Good win for the Tigers. $7, can’t imagine what they were paying for 13+

That play from Doueihi to catch the ball in goal and then get to the 50m line on tackle 0 was huge.

Interesting that Corey Parker thinks Niu will be the fullback ahead of Walsh next year, does that mean Walsh has been signed as a half? Admittedly only watched the Broncos a handful of times this year but always been more impressed with Mam than Niu… excluding Mam’s shocker tonight.
  18. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Niu has been playing well, but he won't be in the starting side next year. He could perhaps find some success in the 14 though.
  19. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

So weird that Tigers got up with Brooks out

Parker has no idea. Walsh will be fullback, Niu will be a backup. Niu shouldn't even be fullback next week.
