    In the post-game last week Benji said that his preference would be to move Hastings to lock and keep Brooks in the side, and Benji has now also been hired as part of the coaching staff. Seems like they were planning to trot out that line up sooner rather than later.

    I'm wondering if it's their way of trying to copy the set up with Yeo at Penrith. Make their forwards a little more effective around the middle while taking a bit of pressure off Brooks.

    Has potential to be a more than adequate spine once api arrives. Surely give them the rest of this year to get ready for Koroisau next year.

    Yeah I'd say that's the logic behind it. Definitely stupid though, especially with Koroisau coming. I have a suspicion that they are trying to get Brooks some game time hoping he'll look half decent to try and palm him off to a team if they come sniffing. That or they are just continuing the Brooks wankfest they have and surely he will come good on his own any day now

    Yeh it’s rubbish, if as a defender you have gone past the ball then you don’t have any right to claim obstruction as you’re trying to get back to the ball carrier. Especially not against a player who is running in support.

    Yeh they are, when Hastings was originally signed there was a lot of talk that they had signed him as a lock forward. I'm guessing Sheens probably had a big say in that signing.

    I just think it's not even a chance of succeeding because his running game is almost non-existent. May have worked in the Vlandysball of yester year but small middles who are having some success this year like Walker and Watson are primarily doing it on the back of their running games, any ability to ball play comes second.

    Speaking of small loose forwards with a bit of acceleration, I thought Erin Clark was brilliant tonight. Outside of him and Brimson there really isn't much to get excited about at the Titans.
