Sing and Hancock have to be ahead of Tuqiri and Folau IMO.

I'm following these Pearce developments quite intently, I reckon he's gone. The insinuation is he was feeling up a biddy at the bar who wanted none of it.
If she makes a formal complaint he can probably kiss the season goodbye.

Apparently he was kicked out of the Clovelly earlier in the night with Boyd Cordner as well. Even if he isn't charged with anything, the NRL should ping him for bringing the game into disrepute.

Bondi seems like a great environment to rehabilitate Blake Ferguson!

His Dad is one of the people in charge, he'll be fine.

  5. Old Mate M Perry

    He's one of the greatest.

  6. Magic AJ Parker

Was watching Matt Sing highlights today. Such a gun.

  7. Ged GEC King

I saw Matt Sing at a pub in Central Qld last weekend. Still loved by the masses.

With the return from injury and a few solid performances, Maloney's probably going to retain his place. Can't see Daley deciding the best course of action is to split up that pairing. So once again I think we'll see loyalty and continuity from the NSWRL in all the wrong places.

I can't make up my mind about what he's going to do with Hayne though. Jennings is back and Morris played for Australia. On the other hand, Daley has been waxing lyrical about his performance at centre in the World Cup. Maybe wing. Again, I think that's unlikely though. Daley recognises (for the wrong reasons IMO) that playing him there is a waste.

Fortunately for NSW, a lot of the injuries which threatened to derail their 2014 campaign have cleared up. Gallen, Watmough and Jennings are all fine. And Farah will be okay in time. Lewis is also back, albeit at five-eighth.

I'd be a bit worried about Gidley being dropped for Reynolds frankly. That really is a possibility.

  11. Benny BS Read

Yeah agreed. Gidley has hardly made a strong case from his play this season though

  12. Hunter AD Hunt

If shit hits the fan from the Pearce situation I can see Daley going full retard and selecting

    6. Reynolds
    7. Maloney

  14. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Well I just typed up a 1 hour spiel about my revolutionary new NSW line up, but I got logged out after taking too long

  15. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

    It was

    1. Brett Stewart
    2. Josh Mansour
    3. William Hopoate
    4. Jarryd Hayne
    5. Jorge Taufua
    6. John Sutton
    7. Todd Carney
    8. Paul Gallen
    9. Robbie Farah
    10. James Tamou
    11. Greg Bird
    12. Luke Lewis
    13. Trent Merrin

    14. Kurt Gidley
    15. Jamie Buhrer
    16. Tariq Sims
    17. Anthony Watmough

But had 6-7 paragraphs explaining it all. I know it goes way against the general consensus and would represent a complete change of tactics, but I think it had potential to be very effective.

Looks like a side Griffin would pick if he was obsessed with Locks instead of Fullbacks tbh.

Can you at least share why you have no props on the bench?

  17. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I don't mind that side. Those wingers are garbage though. And I don't like the bench. Too light for my liking.

Daley will probably pick Reynolds if Pearce is out and yet another Souths player will be exposed and along with him all the people who think a halfback who can't run or pass is up to Origin. Then again, if all he provides is a decent kicking game, well that's an improvement on Pearce. On the other hand, if his radar is off, he could actually be substantially worse.

  19. Wilson SB Wilson

    Mansour is gun.

The bench was the 1st thing that struck me as a problem; the fact that an acceptable halves pairing with Stewart at the back made me miss the Mansour pick. I wouldn't want him anywhere near any rep side TBH. He's big and strong; and that's where it ends. His hands are like feet and he is as dumb as dogshit. Taufua I could live with; but I wouldn't call him a better option than Borris.

Back to the bench, if you swapped out Buhrer for a big man like Fifita/Mason/Mannah/Snoden; it would give your side so much more balance.
