I actually enjoyed seeing the 11 on 11 for 10 minutes. If the likes of Marshall and SBW were involved it would be awesome to see them use that extra space.
Smith made a shocking call to go the blind on the last during the 11-11 phase. Inglis would have strolled over in the corner.
Yeah he did it was when he made the tackle on Jorris 1 on 1 for some reason Inglis defended inside him.
Yep, there were a few strange decisions on last tackle. Tate tried to catch the defence napping on last tackle at one stage but if they had actually looked there was a try begging to be scored in the other corner. Plenty of times Queensland should have scored.
That happens quite regularly for QLD. Occasionally he even moves outside Boyd, usually from 20m restarts.
Well NSW did score two late tries in the first half of Game 3, 2011. But it was the most dominant first 35 minutes I have ever seen. We lead 24-0 and virtually every minute was played in NSW's half. Most of it on NSW's line. The only time the ball got back over half-way was from the kick off. It was relentless. Repeat set after repeat set. We got about 5 goal line drop-outs in row all from well placed kicks.
Forgot about that one, the two NSW tries took a bit of shine off that half for me. The first try was embarrassing amount of QLD handling errors and the second was pathetic defence.
NSW blatantly knocked on during the first try two. If it had been called back, we would've gone to HT 24-0.
It was a slaughter. NSW are going to be lambasted in the media, but it's unwarranted. As has been written ad nauseam, Queensland have one of the greatest squads of all time and they fired on all cylinders last night. I seriously doubt any side playing against them last night would have fared better. It will be a different story in game three. The Olympic stadium will be blue, they won't get the penalties they had last night and I think if they keep the same squad (with the exception of Pearce) they'll be a chance.
It'll be close. A lot hinges on the fitness of Maloney and Gallen as well as who they pick at fullback.
The ball in the second half - the cut-out across three players, was pinpoint perfect. Johns/Lewis-like.
The whingeing in the Sydney press about the officiating is hilarious to read. Cunts going as far as saying the refs gave QLD the rub of the green to ensure a Decider. ...
I don't know what people expected Dugan to do - I thought he had a good game, that's how he always plays. He didn't drop the pill and he did a lot of dirty work out of his own half. If NSW are lacking attacking spark they should be asking questions of Pearce & Michael Jennings rather than Dugan.
