    Yeh would be.

    No idea why the Warriors keep allowing him to speak to other clubs, obviously they would still have to grant him a release and he's got a family to relocate so its a long way off being a deal but I believe Robbo will meet with him next week in NZ.

    It'll be as a backrow signing though, the club is really desperate to sign another backrower. We were favourites to sign Beau Scott if the Knights didn't announce Rick Stone as coach & even put in an offer for Takarangi but the Sharks blew that out of the water.

    Pretty certain we'll sign a backrower before the end of the season, probably be scrapping the barrel though if we miss out on Matulino.

    I can't see you having the money for Matulino. Yeah I know SBW is leaving but you'd think Cordner and Guerra would have received significant upgrades since their move into rep footy.

    I'm not going to micro-analyse the Roosters salary cap but SBW & Mini would free up some significant coin. Salary cap jumps a further 250k, long service player allowance increases from 200k to 300k, Club affiliated third party sponsorships jumps another 100k I believe.

    At the end of all that you're talking somewhere in the range of 1m-1.5m in salary cap room.

    Next year will be the big year for our squad. Quite a large percentage of our salary cap comes off contract & I can see a couple of high earners being moved on.

    I'd honestly dismiss this if any other journalist in the world wrote it but Tony Adams has a pretty strong connection to the Roosters and his mail about us is rarely wrong.

    It genuinely just makes no sense though. Even if we were to offload Jimmy a season early the club & Robbo have huge wraps on Hastings Jr.

    Haha my brain would explode.

    Roosters sign possibly my favourite young half in the comp and release the bloke who I think is the shittest cunt in rugby league to Canberra.

    I can't see this happening btw (the Sezer thing) it's just not enough notice for a club to agree to it. Though the Titans are the sort of club that'd probably ok a swap for Maloney having released Idris and signed Tighe.

    I don't think you've got much chance of retaining him past his current contract.

    NRL quality halves are getting thinner and thinner on the ground at the moment and a few clubs will be about as cashed up as you can get.
