And thus the barometer for how well the strategy goes will be entirely responsive to how well Hayne goes.

This sort of RL analysis is what I can't stand about the game.

I agree that Folau should be playing in the centres but I think Hayne will fail harder at 6 than Folau does at 1.

Has a 1 -> 6 switch even worked well for anyone since Lockyer? I know plenty of clubs have tried it and it's even been tried with Hayne before but it's never lasted.

Fuck I hate Hayne, probably more than any other player. I wish a horrific season ending injury upon him. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

I would play Folau on the wing in defence but centre in attack. And yeah Hayne is much more likely to fail at 6 than Folau at 1.

He's alright. He started very young in Super League mainly as a halfback. Then he moved onto a number of different clubs and had off-field problems. Moved to hooker in later years. He's still only 24 though, so could be a decent long term investment if it pays off.
