I'm reluctant to give them even that much credit. If he got the ball in space, which fullback happens to be the best position to do so, he'd probably make strong runs. That's all you need to be considered a success at fullback these days. I honestly think they could put Tony Williams at the back and half the population would buy it.

I don't spend my time talking about who will be picked because it depresses the fuck out of me. I know better than most when Tate is or isn't going to make a rep side. That's why when most people on here were saying Tate would be picked for the game in Townsville, I knew better.

Tate will struggle to make the Origin side next year, just as he's struggled his entire career. He's a toiler. That's what he does. Unlike Hodges who has been handed Origin jerseys for the last 10 years and to this day hasn't put together a strong showing over the course of a series. Tate has done so in two different positions, but apparently there just isn't room for him. This is not serious.
