Same here and I always preferred them over Black Dog. I can listen to all the songs on the list except Black Dog which I am kinda sick of hearing. lol
I tend to prefer some of their more experimental work especially the album Houses of the Holy. I do like many of the popular songs but my favourites are the lesser known stuff in their albums.

Yeah. It's not my favourite song. I've probably heard it more than just about anything else. It's been played to death. Apart from that, as good a song as it is (definitely in the top 20 songs I've ever heard), it's quite a bit overrated. It's not the best song ever written, that's for sure, at least in my opinion.

As for my favourite Zeppelin song, I'd say...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrVDViSlsSM

Thats my favourite on I for sure.

Big fan of songs like Down By The Seaside, The Rain Song, The Lemon Song overall too. Also Misty Mountain Hop, Candy Store Rock and Tea For One.

Plenty of people I know didn't like this song but I found it to be decent, bit out there in experimental nature but its good LZ took the odd risk despite what critics were saying.

Ten Years Gone is my favourite, just an incredible song imo. Also, How Many More Times is fantastic too.

The live version of Kashmir on the LZ DVD is orsm as hell. The other versions sound so ass in comparison.

D'yer Mak'er is very underrated, I really enjoy it. Personally my two favourite songs would probably be Rock n' Roll and Houses of the Holy - both of them rank very highly in my all-time 100 list, as do Stairway to Heaven, Achilles Last Stand and Immigrant Song. Recently Black Dog has grown on me too - it's not often a song I'll start my LZ playlist on, but I always find myself loving it once it gets going.

The Lemon Song is also very underrated. Misty Mountain Hop is probably overshadowed somewhat since it follows Stairway to Heaven on IV (if I remember correctly), but it's a great song too

Was a tough decision... Whole Lotta Love got my vote but I still don't know if I like it more than my other favourites i.e. Rock and Roll, Kashmir or Heartbreaker. I guess Stairway and Black Dog would be up there too.

Another tough Led Zeppelin question - what would your favourite record be? I'd take II over IV, but only just. I remember the first time I listened to II, I was on top of the world after, just so good.

Physical Graffiti for me and Houses of the Holy are my two favourite records.

Stairway for me. Like the bluesy/riff driven led zeppelin. Stray away from the boogie-esque ones.

  13. Steeley J Steele

Tough choice between Stairway and Trampled Under Foot for me. Gave it to Trampled.

Gotta mention Black Dog though as it is what got me into Zeppelin.

Any of you guys heard Michael Winslow (the bloke who makes noises in police academy) cover whole lotta love? It's brilliant.

I just listened to Led Zeppelin II once again and have discovered a new appreciation for Living Loving Maid - it would definitely make it up there into my top 10 LZ songs now, which is a pretty hard league to crack into.

  16. Eggman DA Eggman

Dazed and Confused, been thinking about it for a while now

  17. Mousey AJ Son

    Black Dog. Absolutely love it.

Immigrant Song would be second, not sure if Stairway or Kashmir would be third though, maybe Kashmir

    No Quarter.

  19. Teja. HBK Teja

Gallows Pole wins out, such a beautiful song.

However, Stairway to Heaven is pretty much the best written song I've seen in my life time and both songs would comfortably be in a top 10-15 of all-time for me.

Honorable mentions to When the levee breaks and Heartbreaker

    No Quarter easily
