I'm suggesting it, are you suggesting you can analyse a game of rugby league better than me because you have thousands more posts about the subject over the internet?
You over complicate things. Shows you've never played the game. You should just retire from posting. Cheers, Wilson.
Yeah, that's another old, evidentially-bereft argument/non-sequitur - Clearly, you've never played the game. You have nothing. How am I overcomplicating things?
Well to think you know more about who means what to the team than those actually playing in the team would indicate to me that there must be something pretty complicated going on in your head.
I didn't claim to "know more about who means what to a team." Quite the opposite. My point is, there are certain things you can only pick up when playing a game, and there are others that you can only pick up when analysing the game from afar. That's why we have coaches and 20 staff armed with laptops and statistics instead of Player/Coaches like in the old days. It's the former of these phenomenon which, IMO, makes Gallen more noticeable to the players around him - He takes lots of hit-ups and in my experience, playing and talking to forwards, they really admire and respect that.
Recognise what? That the Golden Boot is a sham award - We've all known that for years. Gallen winning it would just add further weight to the mountains of evidence.
Who else has won the boot twice, Andrew Johns maybe? Would be a shame if Slater is put up there with Lockyer and Johns.
Wtf is "wow"? I agree it's not as much of a sham as the Dally M. It's even worse IMO. In 2007 we played two Test matches in the whole year and therefore Cameron Smith was awarded the Golden Boot as the best player in the world - Based on two ****ing games. One of which was a flogging against a 12-man NZ side. It's a disgraceful award. ****ing Manu Vatuvei was nominated for it last year ffs. It's an award voted on by international journalists, for the love of god.
I do enjoy this though - It'll guarantee he plays (and if I'm really lucky, maybe even captains) NSW next year. QLD winning two series in a row - 3 nil, with Gallen captaining one of them. Man that'd be sweet.
