Night Three

The Drell assassin was feeling the best he had in ages. He'd been patched up and discharged from hospital, but they were waiting for him outside. A firefight broke out, and he repelled his attackers with some more injuries sustained. Luckily, his protector from the previous night was on hand to drag him back into the hospital and provide more treatment. Sturdy old buggers those Drell.

C-Sec Security officer Garrus Vakarian was pulling another all nighter. The murders of late had been proving hard to pin down. He thought he knew the ID of the Asari assailant at the heart of most of these troubles, but without the support of the Asari ambassador, looking to arrest a Matriarch could land him in deep water - not to mention the dangers. He shut down his terminal and decided to go and buy a drink at the local bar. A Collector was waiting for him. In close combat battle, the Turians are to be feared but Vakarian overbalanced and toppled over a ledge into the Presidium quarter below.

Garrus Vakarian is dead.

Dr. Karin Chakwas had been resting on the Citadel, looking to be recuited for a mission. Unknown to her, she had been hunted down. As she reclined, watching some trashy Volus soap opera, the door swung open. The Asari Matriarch stood in the doorway, looking menacing. Chakwas' laser pistol was in her bedside cabinet. She didn't have long to feel the regret before the Matriarch's biotic powers started crushing her throat. She would never wake up.

He'd had some training now and wanted to take on some takin' out of the trash, just like his hero Commander Shepard would. He picked his target, and she was nearby. Rather than starting off small, why not try to take out one of the big fish? He was still a hopeless amateur in comparison, and with her hordes of well-paid mercenaries at her side, he wouldn't stand a chance. As the first volley of fire to respond to his puny rifle was fired back at him, he started to suffer some substantial choice-remorse. He started backing towards the door, and under surpression from a heavy volley of fire, he crawled back out of there on his belly; escaping with his life by the skin of his teeth.

The Collectors were looking for Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. Fortunately for her, they were looking in the wrong place. But she was known to them and they wanted her gone and the sooner the better.
