Mass Effect Mafia: Game Thread

    In 2157, Humanity discovered that it was not alone in the Universe.

    Thirty years later, they found a peaceful place among the dozens of galactic species. But this idyllic future is overshadowed by a dark past: Reapers, a sentient race of machines responsible for cleansing the galaxy of all organic life every 50,000 years are about to return. The leaders of the galaxy are paralysed by indecision, unable to accept the legend of the Reapers as fact. But one human soldier has seen the legend come to life.
    And now, the fate of the galaxy depends on her.

    To win as Town: All threats to galactic peace need to be eliminated or neutralised.
    To win as Mafia: Mafia players and mafia aligned players must outnumber the ability of Town to vote.

    This is a star map of the local cluster. There are currently 5 locations to visit. These are:

    1. The Citadel (Serpent Nebula)
    2. Illium (Crescent Nebula)
    3. Omega (Omega Nebula)
    4. Eden Prime (Hawking Eta)
    5. Tuchanka (Krogan DMZ)
    6. Illusive Man's Base (Viper Nebula)

    You can move between these locations on a circular path in an clockwise or anti-clockwise direction - i.e. if you are at the Citadel, you can move to either Illium or Tuchanka. To start the game, you must choose a starting location unless specified in your role description.

    The locations serve a purpose for night activities. Initially, at least, it is assumed that during the day all players meet on the Citadel to discuss and analyse the events of the night. As such, your location does not matter for lynch voting.

    The Viper Nebula is one move away from any location.

    Rules

    1. Lynch votes must be bolded: e.g. lynch Cribb. Other variants such as kill or vote are not allowed. You must unlynch before voting to lynch someone else.
    2. You must make at least one post every day unless you have a valid excuse. Failure to do so will result in a warning. Do it a second consecutive day and you will be mod-killed, and/or replaced.
    3. Days will last 48 hours. For a lynch, a member must reach >50% of the eligible members' lynch votes. If this does not occur within the 48 hours, a no lynch will occur.
    4. Nights will last 24 hours (or until all night orders have been completed). You will be informed as to when night has begun.
    5. Do not speak about this game outside of the thread unless your role specifies that you may, or I have specifically said otherwise. Not following this will result in being mod-killed. Any outside communication, if your role does allow, must be kept in your specific QT.
    6. Do not quote anything from the moderator that is said outside of this thread such as role PM's or pretend to quote anything from the moderator.
    7. Please do not edit posts. Do not delete either.
    8. Once you are dead you may not post, unless otherwise specifically stated.
    9. Have fun and be respectful to your fellow players. Don't be a Skippos. - You will have one warning, any subsequent abuse of another player will see you modkilled. That includes Furball.
    10. Night-talking is allowed, and encouraged.

    11. Character claiming is allowed, but is strongly advised against. It is entirely your decision as to whether you wish to run the risk of character claiming. Ability claiming is definitely allowed. Mafia may have been given solid characters to claim if necessary.
    12. Unless otherwise stated in your role description, during Night Zero you must specify a starting location for your character There are no restrictions on this unless stated. Your character will begin the game and the next night in that location. Actions are then taken and each night you can choose to move one location in either direction (unless specified). The movement is your last action.
    13. If in doubt, ask me questions via PM.
    14. I have taken a number of liberties with the events of the Mass Effect trilogy. Complex personalities have been condensed to simpler ones in some cases, motivations have been highly simplified. This in some cases is to avoid spoilers, other cases to crowbar the Mass Effect universe into a Mafia game world. This makes assumptions regarding character + ability combinations a risky one.
    15. Some roles may develop as the game progresses. Ambiguous Extra Objectives may become more clear as a result of such development.

    You choose a starting location during night 0. Otherwise, you are not moving during n0.

    And as stated previously, you have 1,000Cr unless your role says you have more or less cash.
