Finished Mandela's book. Hard not to respect the man himself but the message he was trying to send really didn't reach the greater black population. Mbeki undid a lot of his hard work from the brief overview it gave of a post Mandela RSA. Not sure what to read next, might have to do some study or a language with my spare time now.
Finished Keane's autobiography off... good solid read and as I said above, seems strange that he did an interview a few months back criticising Fergie when it's clear to see how much he owes him for his career and the support he has given him throughout. Bitter at the way he left Man Utd? perhaps. Would like him to have another one out for his later stages of his career and his attempt at management... I wonder if Sunderland and Ipswich players had the best facilities to train and work under. I'm assuming so after the way he hated the set up by the Irish.

Michael Straczynski. Artist: Adam Hughes - NITE OWL (4 issues) – Writer: J. Michael Straczynski. Artists: Andy and Joe Kubert - OZYMANDIAS (6 issues) – Writer: Len Wein. Shouldn't be too bad, the writers they have got are all very good. Brian Azzarello would be one of the best around in the comic book industry at the moment.
Am reading The Reversal by Michael Connelly. One of my favourite authors, yet to read anything less than decent.
Halfway through a book called "Provided you don't kiss me 20 years with Brian Clough" Brilliant so far, great insight to how Clough handled himself off the pitch to a reporter who knew him for the best part of 20 years, when in the modern day, it seems it's a divide between the players/coaches/managers and the media It shows how one moment he could give great interviews and information where he's funny and charming to another moment well he just tells him to 'fuck off shithouse' and to tell him never to return to Forest again How the relationship between him and Peter Taylor (his famous assistant) became sour after being so successful for a long period of time.
Reading The Shadow of the Wind after Dougy recommended it. About 350 pages in and loving it. It's got me hooked.
Getting pretty engrossed into the Kite Runner. Been reading it for the past 2 hours, I should go to sleep but I just want to keep reading more. Not normally the type of book I'd read even with it's good reviews. I wouldn't be reading it if it wasn't for English, that's for sure. Glad I am though. Great book so far.
Zafon is a pretty good author in my opinion.....the only pisser is that the books are done in his native Spanish first and take a while to be translated.
Just finished this off It's such a shame that alcohol played a major influence in Clough's last few years as a manager... you can just tell what kind of a special manager he was just by reading this book, but also, why non of the 'bigger' clubs didn't even go near him. He needed to be the center of attention but also needed to be appreciated for what he did firstly at Derby and then at Forest. He was allowed this at 'smaller' clubs but no chance would the bigger clubs chairman allow this occur where to be honest, he was seemed to be bigger than the clubs he was managing. I've got to get his autobiography when I next see it available Went in The Works (cheap book shop in Buxton) and saw Swann's autobiography available for a £5 so decided to get it, probably end up reading that next, or start on Richie Benaud's 'over but not out'... unsure to be honest.
