Conrad Smith has to be the best centre in the world. He never misses a tackle, his defence is top notch. He's got great vision and can sneak through little gaps. His pace lacks compared to other backs but when you can set up breaks, get the overlap, even get somebody in there's no complaints from me. World class player.
Conrad Smith is a top notch defender but there are far better attacking options out there IMO. He could easily make a world XV but it depends on the kind of team you're looking for.
well at the world cup he was dominant at both the breakdown and lineout he also looked semi handy on the pick and go deffo better than thorn and whitelock
Mate he's not even the best centre in his country! Roberts was just outstanding in the World Cup, player of the tournament for me. Nonu is better than Smith. Smith probably takes the replacement centre role though.
Lol at thinking Nonu is better than Smith. Sure the Nonu + Smith pairing is one of the best in the world but Nonu isn't the player he use to be. Tries to do it all, too much. Can have some scrappy games too.
Sounds like Schalk Burger You have your opinion, I have mine. I just feel a centre pairing with Roberts and Nonu would be unstoppable on attack.
His name has just left me. And I know stacks of props, its just an area where I really don't notice differences in ability. I see a scrum as a team thing and find it tough to see who's performing well individually.
Toby Faletau. Fair enough but if you watch scrums closely enough you can see who is dominating and you can keep an eye on the props in general play to see which ones are lazy etc.
