Bit of discussion about these in the Lions thread so thought I'd create a new one.

Will do mine once I've thought about it a bit more. Moody to feature.

I'd run with something like this

    1.Tony Woodcock
    2.Bismarck du Plessis
3.Martin Castrogiovanni- Owen Franks, Jones deserve a mention
    4.Paul O'Connell/Thorn
    5.Victor Matfield
    6.Jerome Kaino
7.Richie McCaw/Pocock- latter equal in skill at present time but leadership/experience adds value.
8.Sergio Parrisse/Read/Harinordoquy- I rate Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe as well.
    9.Will Genia
    10.Daniel Carter
    11.Digby Ioane
    12.Ma'a Nonu
13.Conrad Smith- Brian O'Driscoll is getting on a bit.
    14.Cory Jane
15.Kurtley Beale- Israel Dagg, Francois Steyn are quality as well.

There are some very close calls to make. Regarding the likes of 1,4,7,11 and 15. But this is what I would probably go with

Thorn surely has to be the best #4 out there even though he has retired.

  14. Farny AP Farnsworth

Thorn was never the best 4 in the world at any point in his career.

victor matfield is past it. several locks better then him, charteris, botha, russouw. why not kaino at 8? he is just as gooda ball runner, and alot better at the ruck. agree with the rest though. Wtf smith is heaps better than roberts :p

Chateris has played pretty well recently, but he's been shit as for a long time before that.

  18. Jabba HJ Bots

its not really judged on how good your career was 2 years ago, other wise mccaw would be 7 if you judged that way :p

  19. Farny AP Farnsworth

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Players don't become good or bad in two months.

  20. Jabba HJ Bots

so you are saying chateris only has been good at this rwc? i thought i heard he'd played well for a good 2 seasons.
