Wonderful news. Very relieved. Losing Lockyer's leadership and experience is a big enough blow.

  3. Alec AD Funkotron

Haha, he just keeps on going. Hasn't been great this year, but still.

I'd be starting Shillo and Scott, and using Civo from the bench.

  5. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Civo has looked slower this year, but he made some great runs last night.

  6. Jimmy J Read

agree with mf civo's gotta be coming off the bench.

  7. Alec AD Funkotron

Is it too early to call him the greatest prop of all time?

  8. Ged GEC King

Meh. Third best prop at the Broncos.

  9. Cribbage RG Cribb

Lol @ your obsession with McGuire.

  10. Andato BJT Manera

McGuire is a promising prospect but he is not in the league of Civo.

  11. Ged GEC King

He's a gun. I'd still pick Petrol in origin, purely because he's got the experience, but I'm not at all excited by the news when we've got so many good props.

  12. Raide KN Rask

    You're right.

He's in a better league :ninja:

I like the selectors rewarding the true legends of the game with loyalty. If you just replace them with someone younger when they are still more than capable, it kind of cheapens the whole thing IMO.

I think the experience and leadership gained from 30 Origins, 45 Tests and 290 FG games should count for something. Especially something more than McGuire who's put together one good season in toto.

Hope Civo can crack the 300 this year.

  16. Bedsey JB Dempsey

Too busying blessing the rains down in Africa IMO.

Lol I actually read his post as Lazarus and Webke being better than Petro, seeing it was a best of all time call by Alec.

Hannant has really impressed so far this year, almost deserves an origin spot.

  19. Alec AD Funkotron

True, the 100 metre chase on McAnus and the chase on Reynolds were probably the highlights for me. Just what I like to see, passion and commitment.

  20. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Indeed, he is really putting in the extras. Gillett doing the same.
