Haha. I was one of those. Struggled for hours to figure the shit out and then just never got back to it.
Finished Shin Megami Tensei IV, really enjoyed it. It's an unforgiveably tough game at first but it got easier. Bosses still require quite a bit of strategy and normal mobs can surprise you and take you down in one turn and you're left going huh? I'm starting Persona 4 now
Got into the Total War: Arena closed alpha and the NDA lifted today. So much fun, and really addictive
Any of the WiiU crew getting Splatoon? Played one of the Testing Days and after an hour struggling to get connected, had a blast (pun intended.) Really fun. Just hope they'll patch in some local multiplayer at some point, seems ridiculous not to have a decent 4 player option.
I'm not sure, NZ WiiU users are few and far between which means playing with those further away online. Some real lag issues. Maybe when it's on sale but I'll have to stick to single player and party games for now
Wait you have a Wii U Ahtlai? I probably won't play because I'm not a fan of shooting games on consoles in general
Uses the motion controls for aiming on the GamePad, probably as close as a console's going to get to keyboard and mouse.
Can't fault it at all. Awesome how you have AA and AAA that you most likely will end up in after getting drafted then having to work your way up to the majors. Given the nature of baseball, games aren't long at all if you do sim to next play for your player. One thing with 2k is I'd only get one or two games in because I'd want to play full length games for realistic stats and scores but that meant seasons took ages. Not that, that's a bad thing, just the nature of the sport. Would recommend and I don't follow baseball - just know the basics from my softball days.
Ive always been hesitant about buying MLB the show bexhaust I though the career mode might lack something. Pleasing to know it doesn't. I I feel like the FIFA career mode is shit. Yeah, you go out on loan and work your player up but the achievements way they have it set up is horrendous and takes forever for your player to ever be half decent.
With SMT games, you just gotta remember that buffs and debuffs rule, and to exploit weaknesses, and they are not too bad. They are usually the most difficult at the beginning actually.
Yea, generally at the end I was dieing only because they got the first move and exploited weaknesses or got a lucky crit to get more press turns, or used the aoe insta-kill spells that happened to hit
One thing that annoys me about FIFA too. It makes the game so slow and cumbersome to get into, as you're a rather shit player playing alongside other shit players who can barely pass - much better to build the stats up with the odd game and training until you're actually decent enough to play out on loan - at least at a big club you'll still get the odd decent pass in your rare game. Its so much worse if you play as a striker and are loaned out to a team that plays one up front at this point.
Tbh I just reckon football as a sport just doesn't work as well for my player like basketball, baseball etc. Same would apply to rugby imo.
yeah, I started a new career as a striker for Liverpool. I got loaned out to a championship team and they played one up front and I was never really a chance to do much at that team. At the end of that season I foughtbit out with Liverpool and played a fair few games then ended up getting signed by inter in Serie a where I scored about 16 goals in the season. If if they made it so that you started off in a youth team at Liverpool or anything like that and you weren't rated 71 it'd be so much better. I love baseball games on console. I played MLB 2k13 for ages until it froze in the play offs and the save could never be retrieved.
