They were arguments against your hatred for him rather than his ability tbh. He's a great attacking weapon and it more than makes up for his high error rate. That's all that needs to be said really. Any NRL coach would put him in their starting lineup automatically.

I don't think you can blame the captain for this loss and I don't think it was such a bad call to m ake him captain. He is hugely respected by his teammates, especially the young blokes and has a certain mana about him. He kinda got the position by default anyway and it was always a one-off/short term appointment. Johnson or Taylor are longer term options by too soon for them. What does the captain do anyway apart from decide which way to run at the toss?
I don't love him. I think he's a great player who gets a lot of unfair abuse from idiots like you who actually hate him for some reason.
