I only remember Gemmell vouching for mdma, probably wrong though. I honestly think most illicit drugs have a time and a place. Massive negatives to all drugs though. I definitely understand where Gemmell is coming from on his opinion of weed, has a negative effect on many consumers. Just another thing, ice is speed isn't it? Weed is for losers, and I find it disgusting. I don't think I said weed dealers are scumbags, IIRC, I said weed users are scumbags, which includes a lot of my friends. But lets have a look at this, to try and disprove my theory. Person A: Weed advocate, jobless, socially retarded, mental issues and a generally negative kind of guy. Person B: Synthetic drug advocate, has a good job, thrives socially, no mental issues outside alleged NPD and a generally positive kind of guy. Let's take a guess at who these examples are.
I'm actually not a huge fan of MDMA. Cocaine, ecstacy, speed and ice are the drugs I've had the most fun on. Although Ice is something I will only do very rarely, maybe once every few years.
And yeah, Ice is purer speed as far as I know. Shits fucked up, I smashed it on a cricket tour last year and ended up fucking the 50yr old receptionist from work with a limp dick.
Ice (methamphetamine) is a close variant of speed (amphetamine). Of course weed can have negative effects. Compare those effects to what amphetamines do to people and it's not even worth discussing. A friend of mine who had a steady job, a house, a nice girlfriend etc. started booting up and 6 months later he has none of the above, and instead, a face full of sores and bruises, no money and has burnt all his bridges with his friends and family. I see that a hell of a lot more amongst users of synthetics than those who use marijuana. Gemmell's just being an elitist douchebag about a particular substance he doesn't like. He's obviously not fond of the effects of weed so he slams it as "filthy", "for losers" and tries to attack its users on the grounds of it being cheaper than the drugs he likes, which indeed are a hell of a lot more expensive.

The taste, smell or effects. Who the fuck wants to take a drug that's a downer? It has nothing to do with the price.

Even if all of that nonsense above were true how the fuck does it follow that your opinion of synthetics is better or more accurate or more valid because you have a "good job, a thriving social life, no mental issues," etc.? I wrote out a paragraph about the effects as it's obvious that you don't like downers and instead prefer racey drugs like the synthetics you listed. I deleted it though because it's pedantically obvious to anyone whose been around users as much as I have. People are wired differently. How you can admit to being elitist about it and then say it has nothing to do with price, is ridiculous. It's just another chance for you to flex.
