Trade/Free Agency Discussion 2014

Thread needed imo. So many rumours flying around midseason. GWS fellas probably prone to the go-home factor living out there too imo. Not many top notch free agents up though.

Names I've heard linked with trades

- Patrick Dangerfield
- Nat Fyfe
- Adam Treloar
- Toby Greene

and today Jeremy Cameron.

So, I'll kick us off

- How much $$$ per year is Jezza worth?
- What would be the most you'd want your club to offer for him?
- Where do you think he'll end up if he does go? And what would be given up?

 

Carlton if judd retires?

 

1st and 2nd rounder. No player is going to want to move to gws so it only leaves picks. Which means he'd go for unders IMO.

GWS might find their backs against the wall. It's their own fault that they created a culture so undesirable in a location so undesirable that nobody wants to join them. They can't force clubs to give up players who'll refuse to sign and no club is going to force a player to leave for harmony reasons

I'm essentially saying its their own fault they've got such a shit culture and in a shit location that just makes things worse. A shit location but a great culture can still function.

 

Danger would only leave to further his enjoyment of the game. He plays footy for love. If he felt going to Victoria would mean he'd enjoy his footy more on the field/off it (better blokes/family etc.) he'd do it but money really won't matter much to him. As long as he's paid fairly he won't care where he played.

Of course chuck him 500k more than anyone else and maybe but I don't think it's a deciding factor for him.
