Yeah AWTA. Even if they were fired up as such I don't think it's that suited to the way they usually play. If it were Manly or Melbourne it might be of an advantage in grinding teams down, but the Tigers don't tend to play that style too well.
According to nrl.com it was a little over an hour. Don't see how that could leave you fired up. Would rather not be playing at all.
Yeah, I think those closest to the family and Farah would have just been upset, not fired up, if it'd happened 5 days ago, and they'd had some time to mourn and think about it, then maybe they'd have fired up to try and dedicate a big win to her or something, but a few hours before is no chance.
Yeah it affects different people in different ways. Being fired up isn't always necessarily a good thing, either.
I just don't understand. We have a backrow of Blair, Bell & Heighington and Heighington takes the most runs out of them. WHY???
What was the Lawrence try like? I was in the total opposite corner and could barely see the big screen but looked like it was touch and go. Was the worst last 20 minutes, cunts can never just close out a match and let me just enjoy a game for once. Our whole forward pack seemed to play pretty well but I'm yet to watch a replay of the game.
Soon as I heard about Farahs mum, I knew Chooks would win. Cunts who are saying it should've fired them up are clowns and need to not pay attention to the horseshit that the media says. Sentiment can only go so far.
How many of the Tigers team would've been close to Farah's mum? I know Fulton, Heighington & Benji are really close to Farah and have known him for ages but I doubt it would've affected many others that massively with all due respect. Not to mention everyone reacts differently to these types of things. It's no more 'clownish' to assume that the players would get fired up than it is to assume that the sentiment can only go so far, everyone is just speaking from personal experience not any facts.
Was wondering about this. A mate of mine said that he thought she was fairly involved with the club and well liked. Anyone confirm? Also, was Farah with the team when he heard about it?
