It wouldn't be day one without someone calling for my head. I've learnt in these situations until something with any shred of possible validity comes out it's best to just ignore it, without claiming my role/character (which isn't a good move, IMO) no defense I make would help anyone in any game. Exactly. Only fair I answer to a concrete claim but certainly not worth it without any sort of substantiation.
You can choose to not vote at all, vote to not lynch anyone (No Lynch) or vote to lynch someone (like what you tried to do).
I'm open to lynch morgie tbh. He's either up to something or playing this stupidly. Both wins as far as I'm concerned.
Thing is if I was trying to throw a townie under the bus it would be insanely risky to do it this early, and also I wouldn't necessarily target Athlai (who's a lot more dangerous as Mafia than as Town from memory) if I did. Also would I unlynch him that quickly after realising my character was a shunt if I was Mafiso?
You also have to remember it's me. I openly admit I can be pretty fucking dumb at times when it comes to Mafia.
Wild theory: Arheiner instead needs the lynch votes on mafia to be able to somehow defend them as Maury.
Morgie/Santangelo could be random/paranoid/insane or something else. I personally think it's more likely to be the first two in which case it doesn't contradict your theory..fwiw
