Just put all the articles in here. I'm sure there are a few already.

    Guessing Creagh, possibly Watmough.

Mason says he'll have his biggest Origin game ever.

Watmough might cause Locky some trouble, but Creagh is a nobody and Lockyer will rape him.

Watmough will get smashed early and won't make over 50m.

NSW second-rower Ben Creagh is planning to turn Darren Lockyer's farewell State of Origin series into a physical nightmare.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Creagh has been ordered to "terrorise" the veteran Queenslander in Wednesday night's opening Origin game at ANZ Stadium. Creagh's brief will include hammering Lockyer in attack and defence. Creagh plays left side in attack, Lockyer defends on the right - the pairing to meet up on the Blues left edge.
And NRL statistics reveal Creagh should make Lockyer's life hell.
Creagh has made 28 tackle busts this year and averages nearing 100 running metres a game.
Lockyer has missed 40 tackles this season and is only effective on 68 per cent of tackle attempts. He also made 30 ineffective tackles.
"Creagh will run at him to get a quick play the ball and to wear 'Locky' out," former NSW forward Bryan Fletcher said.

"Ben also has that right arm around-the-back pass. When NSW is attacking, he will use that on 'Locky' to set up tries.
"Darren is a legs defender. He will be expecting a fair bit of traffic. Darren doesn't run as much as he used to."
Former NSW fullback Garry Jack also think Lockyer will cop a hard time - but he will handle it.

"Darren has a big heart - he will just play his normal game," Jack said.
"I am sure they will all run at him. But he has been a good defender for many years and nothing will change.
"Big men have run at him, small men have run at him but he has always handled himself."
Lockyer is attempting to shift the limelight in this, his final Origin series.
"It shouldn't be about me at all," Lockyer insisted. "I will be speaking to them [the players] and making sure it's not. We've got to go down to Sydney to prepare well."

Creagh will also engage in a full-blown battle with Queensland forward Sam Thaiday.
The pair have come together aggressively in the past two appearances with round three expected on Wednesday night.
NSW officials claim the Blues will be ravenous for success after losing four successive series and are poised to rip-in once again after a successful Origin III last year. Queensland coach Mal Meninga believed both camps would look at video footage of game three to remind themselves of the passion of the night.
"But we know we can't win games by fighting," he said. "Origin is about being physical and about being aggressive with your attitude."
THERE are just 13,000 tickets left for next week's Stage of Origin opener at ANZ Stadium. So far 67,000 tickets have been sold for the game, with officials expecting massive crowds for the two Sydney games.

That's equivalent to Josh Perry saying he'll turn Civo's farewell into a physical nightmare.

He doesn't have to run away from Hodges this time.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Hodges should sit behind the defensive line so Creagh runs backwards.

Gemmell definitely heard that news story yesterday afternoon like the rest of Australia.

Stop trying to make yourself look clever.

They've said Lockyer will be targeted every year since he moved to 5/8th.

If NSW had any idea they'd realise Thurston is the one they should be working over.

2007 Game 2, Lockyer made 20+ tackles. Thurston made like 11 and came up with the winning play.

2008 Game 3, Hunt went to 5/8th after 15 minutes - He and Prince made a combined total of 23 tackles from 28 attempts. Thurston only made 12 from 15, and again came up with the winning play.

Game 2, 2008 Inglis was asked to make 17 from 19. Thurston, a measly 4 from 8. Whereas on the right, Prince was asked to make 20 from 22 and Tate 33 from 34.

Of course just about every team attacks better when going to their left, namely because most players pass the ball right handed. But this shouldn't mean every game you focus twice as much artillery on one side as on the other. It's predictable.

The only time it worked for NSW last year was when Lockyer had Hodges next to him in Game 3.

Is it any surprise that in the only game that NSW won last year, Thurston finally had to make over 20 tackles? 12 in Game 1. 16 in Game 2. 22 in Game 3.

    Same as in 2008. Game 1, 24 tackles. Game 2, 4 tackles. Game 3, 12 tackles.

Interesting concept there M_F, I gues no one reallythinks about JT because his defence is pretty sound at club level and isn't a weakness like Lockyer's is thought to be.

Thurston's defence sucks. He's a great cover player but in terms of front line defence, he's poor. He should be NSW's main target especially given that Inglis is beside him.

    I actually didn't.

Stop trying to make yourself look cool.
Lockyer has better front on defence, IMO.

Ben Creagh will **** that old croaky voiced **** up. And then he go and rape Hodges' sister afterwards. Long Live Benny Creagh.

Thurston's defence is so overrated. He's shit in the line. His scrambling is good, but otherwise he's a liability.

Hmmm considering JT is carrying an injury it wouldnt suprise me if he is also in their sights.

    lol
Bingo. His defence is over-rated because he puts the occasional good shot on.

I agree his defence is shit in the line but he often cleans up the work after one of his shit**** teammates missed a tackle. Mind you though he has improved a bit in defence compared to a couple years ago.

His shot on Gallen in Game 3 of last year was hilarious.
