    Know it's an easy excuse, but crossing the Indian Ocean twice and then the Tasman to boot probably hasn't helped.

    Was fifteen unanswered points at the end there.

    Still blame the discipline tho. Gave too many soft pens; it's not like Joubert being a pernickety control freak is a secret, is it?

    That pulu break and the robbinson try probably wouldn't have happened in the first half so BB maybe correct with the travel factor.

    That Messam try was just one man being inspired -

    The final penalty was always going to happen - Brumbies were infringing all night in their defensive end. Didn't understand why they didn't lose a player as they had already been warned

    "I am not sending a man off because it has been a long time since I warned you".

    What sort of BS reffing is that. That is called not wanting to decide the game with a reffing decision.

    Since returning to new Zealand 7 years ago that is the only example I have ever seen of even stevens reffing - I actually think Joubert was excellent overall tonight. He may be the best in the world. He did the world cup final didn't he?

    Glad to see the Chiefs win. Typical finals rugby. Good to see it open up a bit though. Cruden's goal kicking has been off all season so not sure what's up there. Brumbies really needed an even bigger lead to win it. The Chiefs were always gonna score more points in the 2nd with the travel factor etc.

    Nic White was pretty bad for the Brumbies tbh. Very costly.

    They're all reasonably officiated. I've never seen a reff have a shocker. Just as I have stated the 50/50 calls go to the home side and you can't really complain about them or call them bad reffing as a call in either direction would be justified but just by the end of the night they all add up.

    You've heard all of this from me before though.

    One call I didnt agree with was when the ball had come out of thr scrum and started going along the line when the ref called it back for someone dragging the scrum down. As soon as that ball comes out the scrum is over imo

    The refereeing in the final was pretty good imo, maybe one or two calls that could have gone either way, but imo very good in retrospect.

    Great game in the end as well, worthy of a final with the comeback victory and all.

    Yeah there's a lot of talk on the silver fern about Smith's breakdown tactics to not engage at the ruck so that it could'nt be called a ruck and then just running around the 'ruck' to jump on TKB before he could clear it.

    Reckon they have not seen that play before but they reckon the antidote is for a forward to pick it up at the base rather than a 9 and just drive it straight through the non existent ruck and pick up easy metres.

    Surprised Prez hasn't raged yet.....Lions will be in the comp next year, Kings out.

    Lions lost the 2nd game but won on aggregate by 2 points.

    I've already raged.

    I don't even follow superrugby much. It just shits me where the Lions, who have been shit for 12+ years, get straight back in whereas the Kings aren't given more than a season to prove their worth.

    The cheetahs were shit for a long time after coming back; now look at them. The lions were just always shit.
