Seasonal Rugby's future

?

What do you want to happen?

Poll closed May 18, 2009.
  1. Re-start everything.

    9.1%
  2. Keep the same clubs owners but do regos and squads again.

    72.7%
  3. Keep all the club stuff the same. Only re-do regos.

    18.2%

    Option 1:

Everything is re-started. Started completely fresh.

Main Advantage:- Can get over the troubled past and just get on with the future.

Main Disadvantage:- Annoying for alot of people to do all the regos, club owners and stuff again.

    Option 2:

Club Owners are kept the same. But all the squads and regos are re-done. So basically no team has any players.

Main Advantage:- Allows us to not have squads with loads of one position. i.e Loads of Giants forwards decide to become backs and the Giants are left with no forwards. This option would make sure we don't have this.

Main Disadvantage:- Most people want all the squads to be kept the same as all the recruiting stuff may take a long time to get it all started again.

    Option 3:

All the club stuff is kept the same. So owners, and players are still part of the club as they were before.

Main Advantage:- Already organised, and will take less time to get this all started.

Main Disadvantage:- Cannot get the exact squad lists from the past site. Also some players may sign up as different positions (see Option 2 Advantages)

Think carefully before you vote. This is it and will finish 24 hours from now. Whatever the result of this poll will most likely be what will happen to Seasonal Rugby.

If I was going to do this without a poll. It would be Number 2.

Yh I voted that, hoping people do use commen sense with it though.
Also sort of gives us a fresh start. Its basically number one but with all the teams chosen.

    Plan B) Bending.

Seriously, option 3 should be a no go, has to be one of the first two.

I really wouldn't mind option 2, but I've put ages into recruiting and to lose the team I've now got would be gutting, so really keep the same for me.

    Option 2...
All of the players have the option to resign for the team they were originally on anyway so it wouldn't be all to dreadful.

Actually that's a pretty good idea....do you think we could keep everyone in the same positions potentially, then have a complete Free Agents page with people in categorized positions, etc.?

  15. Baxter MJ Deane

People will sign up in the positions they want to play.
Those that really want to be 10's will sign up as 10's.
Those who want to play games will sign up as 2nd rows ....
A free agents page would be an idea... Rather than keep on having to find people's registrations in the registration thread to find out what position they play.

OK. Personally, I think we should keep clubs, maybe rename them if we want and go from there. I think that each Chairman should then be able to select three members to help them sort their team out (so basically people to help recruit).

From this we could then set up a free agents with people in a regularly updated list positionally, so recruitment is easy. Also maybe one of the three selected to recruit should be good with photoshopping for logos etc.?

So basically you want all the clubs to keep their boards?

Definately option 2. Option 1 would take too long and you would assume that the best people are already running clubs.

    I went for Option 2

I think it would make it easier tbh, and then give us a week to recruit or something so we can get on our feet and people don't switch off.
