If anyone can guess the exact final score before the second update I will let them choose my avatar for a week.
Let's go Spartans. Prepare for battle. AROOO! AROOO! High intensity, winner takes the Minor Premiership. Just give it your all lads!
Update: 0 mins What a day for rugby this is. The Spartans are at home to the Giants and this could easily go either way. This could determine who goes straight through to the final and who has to play a semi. I think Scoble will be key today as he has to take on E Ames. The Spartans will want to keep it in the pack, whereas the Giants will want to use their monster centres in Golding and Farnsworth. Luffman has the ball and is practically ready to kick off.
Update: 20 mins JRE Luffman puts a decent kick up and the Giants forwards try to claim it. TA Miokovic claims it after very good lifting from Dafter and the maul is formed. RG Cribb controls it at the back, and pushes a pass out to Ames. He tries to go straight through Scoble, but it is a solid tackle from him. At the breakdown, C Laing almost got the turnover, but not quite. Cribb flips it blind and K Fung comes bursting on at pace...FUNG HAS BROKEN THE LINE! EVEN FARHAT COULD NOT STOP HIM AND NOW HE ONLY HAS ONE MAN TO BEAT! Blunder gets across brilliantly and tackles Fung. SDR Laing gets to the breakdown and rucks over well. Cribb ships it out to Ames who puts a lovely cross field over the top with Alessi coming on at real speed. INTERCEPTION FROM BORISC, HE IS GOING AT REAL PACE AND NO-ONE WILL GET TO HIM NOW. TRY UNDER THE POSTS FOR THE SPARTANS. Luffman gets the kick and the score is now 7-0 to the Spartans. Ames is picking his guys up and belts it back towards the half way line. He puts a long kick downfield which Blunder claims. He sends it straight back and it is a lineout to the Giants just inside the Spartans half. Flack makes the call. Miokovic gets up well at the front and forms a maul for the Giants. Ames received the ball from Cribb and tries to gain as much territory as he can with that kick. It has gone out about 15 metres away from the Spartan touch line.
