While other teams were admirable while missing the playoffs, the Pandas were straight up disappointing. A team many expected to go all the way, the Pandas failed to get a run on all year and spluttered to a record sub-.500. F Aaron Hunt was his incredible self, and G Steven Cambridge finally learned how to efficiently score, but the play from the wings was what killed this team. Luke Lukic suffered his worst season as a pro, eventually - finally - getting benched for Mr. Do It All forward Lucas Schaw, and Andrew James, while a contributor, failed to have the impact most thought he would. G Matty James was a great pickup, but the whole backcourt offence didn't mesh for this club. Adding another shooter could help open things up. C Jono Chewie had 4.1 blocks per game to lead the league, and Hunt added 3.5 to make scoring in the paint against the Pandas almost impossible. The backcourt defence was again an issue though.
