Round 9 - Sticky Wickets v Cyclones at Stevil Oval (completed)

Stickies are such trolls.

Every season they get picked for the spoon but manage to punch above their weight, have players improve etc and finish mid-table.

This season everyone tipped them to finish mid-table and they've responded by having several players decline, start poorly and just get worse as the season has progressed.

 

Hardly counts though as you weren't going to pick the Cyclones for the spoon like everyone else did, for obvious reasons.

 

I blame you. You're clearly the most important player in the team and after 16 innings you've hit one half century - and it too was only 51. You've averaged below 20.

It's not like you're just terribly out of form or in activity-related decline either because you still train well (see: post a bit) and you've averaged 47 in provincial. Just awful morale at your club.

 

So at the midway point of the season with everyone playing everyone else once, the Cyclones will be equal third.

I just can't believe that. Crazy stuff.

 

Funny too how the "worst trade ever" is actually working out so well for the Cyclones too. Edwards has been cracking skulls the last few weeks and Cevno has been a BS flop all season.

 

Cyclones traded Cevno for him. It was regularly referred to as "the worst trade ever" back when Edwards was a seriously shit ALC bowler.
