Welcome all to a cold and windy night here at the BOM for a very important clash between the Cyclones and the Pumas. Both teams have struggled to hit winning form and are desperate for a victory tonight to keep them away from the bottom of the ladder. The Cylcones will be looking to give their fans something to cheer about but no doubt the Pumas will be looking to kickstart their season with an away win. There are no changes to the Cyclones lineup with captain Ben Read showing faith in his time. While for the Pumas, Scott Flack has made some massive changes in his lineup. Luke Pilgrim will get his chance to shine as Flack has dropped himself to the bench. Alessi has also made a shock move to the 2nd row with James Read coming up to make his return since round 1. Olsen has been promoted to the starting lineup to provide some size in the pack and Johns and McGrath has also gotten a call up who have been made way by Kolar and Morgan. Full time and unbelievably, we have a draw! What an intense game of rugby league this has been. Some absolute dominant performances and an up and down game where it just was tit for tat. Eventually, the Pumas came back from a 14 point deficit to look as though they would win the game but the Cyclones would not give up. This game was certainly poorly defensed with an incredibly 33 line breaks made. Some outstanding performances from both teams. None more so than the Halfback of the Pumas Ed Ames who really showed that the kid has talent. Also the forwards for the Cyclones, Weaver and Taylor had incredible efforts. Unlucky about the draw but that definitely was the fair result and IMO both teams can take a lot of positives out of it.
