Actually I too would like to congratulate Mannering on 250 games. Always liked him as a player. He's been a magnificent servant to the Warriors and rugby league in New Zealand. (There you go, Fiery.)
Not really his normal game though. He does have a habit of having a quiet game now and then, but he's averaging 16.4 runs for 128m, and pushing 40 tackles. I dont think he should be playing origin now or anything, but I don't think it's absurd to have him in the discussion.
Mm, I wouldn't say it's absurd either but he shouldn't really be talked about as a serious option. Too ineffectual taking hit-ups, even on his better days.
