Hey, the first step is being able to admit it so good on ya Chris. Would I rather a spinner that averages 40 and takes a quarter of a team's wickets or a spinner that averages 50-100 and takes 5-10% of a team's wickets? Hmmm... Considering the only way you'll win a match is by taking 20 wickets. Take more wicket for less runs and the batsmen wont have to score as many. Early on in this competition you really were enjoying how you were doing. Every other post seemed to be about how your offseason exploits were great or how they demonstrated something or the other. I thought I was right
No shit Marcuss, you're an absolute ****ing genious aren't you? I'm going to sit there with a batting average of 58, when I've been an average ALC player, and a decent bowling average and not point it out...and then I bowled a shit load of overs and my average went down so there was no point talking about it, so I didn't. And then I scored some runs so I pointed it out, and you wouldn't do that of course....oh wait..you did the same thing as me here: "105* bitches " Yeah I know i didn't take a bucket load of wickets, but I'm a "Batting Allrounder" so my primary job is to score runs, and a wicket here and there aids the cause. As I said before I mistook another round for this one, but you continued to rant on and on and on as usual, so give yourself a pat on the back.
I would just like to point this out for ya, old buddy, old pal, Marcuss: BOWLING: 226 [+3] C Golding 168 [+17] M Deane Just gives me a kick to point out that whilst it wasn't a great performance, I'm still better than you here </pre>
You've been pretty awesome in this tbh. The few times I've checked Cribb's team out you've scored monster runs IIRC.
And a ton in the second innings today. I wouldn't put it past you to possibly do what Luffers did this season with the bat in S9 if you get a run in the 1sts.
**genius I'm not criticising you for pointing out the fact you did well, but jeez the number of posts you made saying how ****ing great you were. There's a difference between saying "I'm really happy I made a century" and "I made a century I'm soo good". There were numerous posts about what you thought should happen if managed to continue your form. I just felt you were getting ahead of yourself, don't count your eggs until they've hatched etc. As for the bolded... take wickets and you won't have an issue. I think you'll find in that post you then went on to insult me, you clearly wanted a response so STFU. Moved this next quote down. If batting is what matters most between batting allrounders then why did you go on to make this post? Surely bowling isn't that important? But regardless I've been the first to admit I've been woeful in this so far. But yeah considering batting allrounders should be judged on batting.... M Deane - 306 [+66] or C Golding - 255 [+47] Just saying
Congrats. But then again, scoring the amount of runs you have in this you can't really be ignored can you?!
What's the argument about again? Oh yeah, BOWLING. Work it out yourself. But seeing as you want to go down the batting route as well, let's look at the actual stats: C Golding 15 25 5 670 33.50 85 0 3 12 0 M Deane 15 26 4 777 35.32 105* 1 4 11 0 So, in one more innings than me you have scored 107 more runs, and average about 2 more runs than me. If I go out and score a ton in the next innings, unlilkely but it might happen, then overall I'd probably be better than you, if that's what your playing at. </pre>
Wanna find out where I said I was a better bowler than you? You're the one that was professing about how great you were a few rounds ago. I've scored more runs, average more, have more 50s and more 100s? If you go out and hit a ton AND I MAKE NOTHING then you'd overtake me. But in all honesty how likely is that too happen? If I go out and hit 630* I'll overtake Eds as leading run scorer. Ifs, buts and maybes mean nothing.
Oh but now we've ventured into stats and not rankings let me point out the fact that.... You have 30 wickets @ 41.80 with no 5fers. I have 26 wickets @ 38.92 with a 5fer. Not impressive but still better than you.
