Update - 20th minute: Well the first 20 minutes have now passed and it has been just end to end stuff. It has been a high intensity game so far with the defense of both teams attempting to give it to each other. Right now it looks as though the first chance to score will come off the back of the first team to crack. Who will it be though? The donkehs have the ball on their own 35 metre line. It is played back on 2nd tackle by Egg Man to Cribb, he throws the ball wide to Dorn, who throws it to a barnstorming Delonge, he runs it hard and straight. BOOM OH WHAT A HIT! He has just been cleaned up by the defense AND HE HAS DROPPED THE BALL AS WELL! What brilliant defense by the Pumas! They will have the first opportunity off a scrum feed 40 metres out! Flack, feeds the ball out of the scrum successfully and throws it to Thornton who shows the ball to Kovas, does a shimmy HE GOES THROUGH! THORTON BEATS KOVAS, GETS TO THE 30..25 METRES OUT! He is pulled down from behind by Big Man! Brilliant footwork by Thornton! Quick play the ball is picked up by Read who catches the defense on the back foot, gets 10 metres and is taken down! 15 metres out now, the ball comes back to Pilgrim who has just come on the field, he throws it to flack SHORT BALL TO HUMBLE but he is taken down. 8 metres out, 3rd tackle, the ball comes to pilgrim, he throws it wide, NO HE STEPS, DUMMIES AND SCORES! PILGRIM IS OVER FOR THE FIRST TRY OF THE SEASON! The players celebrate with him, that was a great little piece of footwork and the pumas strike first! Great start! Poor defense by the Donkehs.
