I'm not lampards biggest fan but wouldn't really class him as a cunt. But your right, Rafa needs to get rid of the player power if he's got any chance.
Any chance of what? It's pretty clear he won't be kept on beyond the end of the season regardless of what happens, and unless he screws things up royally he's unlikely to be sacked either. He's basically a glorified caretaker manager, by all accounts, so I doubt he gives a toss about what the players think of him, or of what the long term plans of the club might be.
I think Rafa has kind of brought some of it on himself. His attitude of all the fans care about is winning isn't really the smartest thing to say when so many are still hurting from the sacking of a coach who they consider to be a 'chelsea man'. When you look at his comments there's really not a whole lot to them, I think he would have been much better raising this in the press conferences and re-assuring Chelsea fans he's not just here for a cash grab/self promotion. Seriously there's barely anything to it;
He'll have been in charge for about 6 months then. Will be due a sacking. I love all the sympathy praise Rafa is getting just now as well. I even heard someone in the media call him a "tactical master", I just about ended it.
Fans have long memories. George Graham hasn't been forgiven yet. Rafa's so obviously just a placeholder too; if Jose wins the CL with Real this season I'm willing to bet he'll end up back at The Badge for 13/14. Unfinished business and all.
You don't go to places like Barca and Real Madrid and win without being decent with his tactics... Like many have said on here, he is very good with his tactics, his subs are somewhat questionable and sometimes his man management
Bring back the days of Viali, Zola, Di Matteo, Flo, Hasslebank etc. Getting bankrolled was one of the worst things to happen to Chelsea from my perspective as a fan, I preferred the old days.
I can imagine all those trophies must be awful, and what do you think brought all of those players to Chelsea? It wasn't fresh air.
They were a money club before Abramovich. Late 80s they were in what's now the Championship. They weren't much different to a West Ham type club. Harding's money made them a top 6 side, and Abramovich took them from there. Plastic club.
