Raiders line speed almost non-existent in the opening exchanges. So much so you've got to wonder if they're doing it deliberately?
That's such a bad call, Leilua looked like a 90yr old woman with a dildo stuck up her ass trying to pick up that ball from dummy half. The Storm had every right to hit him. Dummy halves in general get way too much protection from the refs, it's almost as if there is some unwritten right that they are allowed to throw the ball from dummy half uncontested.
I know I don't watch League much but fmd the drift defence especially from the wingers just seems poor. Is that usual? / Any reason for it?
Did Cronk actually ground that? My stream went dodgy so I couldn't really see the replays properly, but full speed it looked like it had an arm under it.
Been a really good game so far. Thought Melbourne slightly edged the first half, scoreline probably a good reflection. Melbourne just need a bit more polish on the end of their sets and they'll dominate field position, still feel like the Raiders line speed is costing them but seems like a deliberate ploy to preserve energy and in fairness they look very lively every time they get the ball in attack. Reckon the refs have found a pretty good balance of policing the ruck and letting the game flow so far, fear is they'll put the whistles away in the second half and it's just going to turn into a scrap. Hope not because it's been an enjoyable game so far.
If Blake Austin wants to lie down then he needs to go off for a concussion test. Easiest way to get rid of players playing for penalties.
Why the fuck to these players kick on fourth? Only reason I see it as being ok is if a try is somewhat likely from it.
