Kevin Walters trying to claim Coote did it on purpose . How the fuck is this guy a coach of anything other than a Sunday footy side.
The Cowboys using midfield bombs and shifting the ball in this context is mental. Play field position for the love of God.
For the sake of consistency, should not Sharks get a penalty or possible penalty try for Coote kicking out?
There's about 22 of the dumbest minutes you'll probably ever see from a team in finals footy. The fact that they're only down by 6 is a minor miracle. Sharks deserve to be leading by about 3 or 4 tries.
Cowboys really need to stop playing at the ball in defence. Taumalolo's strip means they went from having the Sharks on tackle 2 at the 10m to having them at tackle 1 on the 30m line and they go on to score on tackle 4th tackle. Just more really really dumb footy. I did think Maloney's pass was forward though, got to give the ref benefit of the doubt though given he was in line right on the spot no one would've had a better view.
Yeah had a feeling this was coming as I said earlier in the week. It'll be a minor miracle for the Cows to win from here. So much defence and so much dumb football.
Take the errors and the dumb plays out for a moment; just the basic skills of tackling technique and passing to the chest have deserted Nth Qld. I'd forgive some of it due to fatigue but from the opening whistle the passing has been all over the shop, and the proficiency in the tackle has been non-existent.
Fatigue it might be but they were making those errors during the Storm game even before that was over after a brutal match. Fucking Coote though what has happened to him? Green needs to remind them, that premiership window is closing quickly after this season and next.
Bolton stripped it from Holmes as well. I mean it got a result but it's mental to be resorting to low percentage shit like that so early in a big game.
Really interested to see how Cronulla approach this second 40. I mean you can't implore them close up but the aggression should be primarily defensive. They can tackle their way to victory from 14-0 up. Risky offloads are one way to hand the advantage to the Cows though.
