Yeah, remember that fullback that could kick?

  3. Freddy MJ Johns

Mason has stepped up multiple times.

  4. Billy B Olsen

yeah he's the new Wally Lewis, except lockyer played gun in the superior comp.

  5. Lordeman JA Robertson

Nah he's done absolutely zilch at rep or club level in the last 15 years, he's all talk.

  6. Billy B Olsen

    22 years tbf.

  7. Billy B Olsen

This thread has turned into a joke....Well....Fits the thread name, TBH.

  9. Billy B Olsen

It was a joke the second you thought it up.

  10. Lukic L Popovic

In QLD the joke turns into you.

Trying to guess what the NSW selectors will do is pretty pointless.

    Nah I can guess,
    They'll fail.

Right and the big differences between fullback and 5/8 these days are? Sure the defensive load would pose a question but he has more than proven he can handle defence in the line. I agree there are more options but it's hardly lol worthy... certainly no more than Tonga on the wing.

Did you not see the garbage he served up on Sunday?

   ......:no2:

You are like the Nadyone of Cricsim.

Lawrence is 4th in line? Dear god.

Here you go - Cooper, Tahu, Monoghan and Lyon (and I think they're both proven failures as SOO centres), MacDougall (highly underrated), Jennings, Hayne, Morris...

I would seriously pick Terry Campese and Beau Scott at centre before giving Lawrence a go. Shit I reckon even the underdone Thompson and Prior would do a better job, though I wouldn't pick them.

Lawrence is so overrated it's not even funny.

It would pose a massive question and when exactly did he prove he could handle it? Club level is nothing compared to SOO.

Put 20 SOO tackles on his tally sheet and see how much ball playing, kicking and creating he does.

Fullback is without doubt the easiest position to play IMO and to pick a 2 game rookie out of position at rep level, would be bordering comical. Especially when you have Campese, Soward, Barrett etc. running around.

Not everyone can be Darren Lockyer.

  18. Magic AJ Parker

What you just admitted yourself that he is a natural 5/8?

  19. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh club level is nothing compared to SOO but if you rule our club level what else do you have to go on? I really don't think Barrett should get the position tbh, I know he's playing in a poor team but he is far from one of the better 5/8's in the comp. I wouldn't mind seeing Campese get another shot but you get the feeling he's never going to again.

Soward.. well there's just as many questions about how he will handle the defence imo.

Carney wouldn't be my first choice but I hardly think it's lol worthy and I wouldn't rule him out after only 2 games back in the NRL.

    Joel Thompson > Beau Scott.
