You better believe he is. He'll be captain soon enough.

Tolman has to be NSW's big great hope. Hopefully we steal him from you.

Anyone thinking Bird is a chance at a spot? His aggression would be immense, but I dont think we can put him in our backrow. Bench he would be wasted. And im not sold on him partnering Pearce in the halves, although it could work...

  4. Incey BC Jacobs

Im liking the idea of the Morris' on the wing for some reason as well.

  5. Julian BJ Taylor

Yet you nominate Beau Scott. Merritt as a winger > Scott in general.

And if I had a dollar for everytime I heard Kimmorley was past it....

I like the centre combo of Lawrence and Jennings (time to move on from Cooper, he was great but is too injury prone). Brett Morris on Jennings side. Hayne at fully. Other wing spot open for who ever competes best.
Halves: need to look to the future, I am happy to give Mitch Pearce and Jarrod Mullen a run first. Please not Campese, he is only good at the Raiders, he is one of those players that only seem to perform well for their club.
If Tolman is a NSWelshman than chuck him in on the 8. Weyman in the 10. Bench to consist of Lewis, Poore?, Gidley and another.

Second row has lots of options, Watmough, Creagh, Waterhouse, Gallen, Bird. Will depend on form. Waterhouse still hasn't played yet so I think he will be watched closely seeing as though he was in the match winning team last year.

Hughesy has successfully picked the shittest team of all time fmd.

  10. Hughesy JM Hughes

I never picked it because I am not daring enough to pick one this far out of Origin. I just tossed up a few names.

No hope of Qld stealing Aiden. He captained NSW teams the whole way through. Just because he is from the same town in NSW as Greg Inglis, and even played in the same senior comp GI did before he moved to Newcastle and Qld, doesn't make him a Qlder.

  12. Julian BJ Taylor

Lawrence and Jennings in the centres. - LOL

Campese is shit unless he plays for Canberra - LOL

  13. Hughesy JM Hughes

I was being serious about that. He is useless. Who else you gonna put in the centres? Apart from Matt Cooper who I think is too injury prone.

  14. Howsie DP Howell

Campese's only played one SOO game right?

  15. Incey BC Jacobs

Id be semi happy with something like

    1. Hayne
    2. Morris
    3. Jennings/Lyon
    4. Cooper/Lyon
    5. Morris
    6. Campese/Bird/Carney
    7. Pearce
    8. Tolman
    9. Ennis
    10. Douglas/Poore
    11. Watmough
    12. Creagh/Waterhouse
    13. Gallen

    14. Lewis
    15. Poore/Douglas
    16. Weyman
    17. Creagh/Waterhouse/Bird

Meh, wayyyy too early to call.

  16. Hughesy JM Hughes

Yeah I know it is harsh but I am not convinced by the one performance. Would rather see a few others given another shot.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

Hughesy, how many games for teams other than Canberra have you seen Campese play?

  18. Incey BC Jacobs

Tolman and Weyman starting could actually be quite good.

  19. Hughesy JM Hughes

Zilch, but that is not my point. I believe that he wouldn't be any good. For a start his style of football matches the style of Canberra's throw the ball around like you don't care style. Origin is structured football there is drawback number one. There are better options.

People suggesting Lyon are kidding themselves as well.

  20. Lukic L Popovic

I can understand not wanting Jennings because of his poor defence, but you're selling Lawrence short. He's a good hole-hitter and can put his winger away and at the same time is solid in defence.
I'm sure someone will say that him jumping out of the line against the Rorters shows he's not ready for origin, but that's a one off and if he doesn't come out they still have an overlap and likely score.
