    it's a little cost clubs wouldn't be fond of IMO. I'm not sure they could be produced weekly either. I'm talking league. and I'm not a fan of the one number per season at all.

    tbh , i actually struggle a bit with Freo and West Coast (the lesser known ones anyway) i pretty much know the numbers of the GWS-GC players

    Only way the NRL would incorporate it is if they switched to personal numbers like the ESL. Otherwise as mentioned, clubs would whinge at needing to produce extra jerseys each week.

    Yeh that's the big play here, getting kids to buy jerseys with their favourite players on their back. Never really noticed but do none of the teams have sponsors above the numbers in AFL?

    Also revenue sharing is so dire fwiw as is the suggestions going around in AFL at the moment to cap football department spending.

    Yeah, no sponsor, just the club initials/foundation year.

    I think revenue sharing is fantastic. It ensures all 18 clubs have a stable financial base rather than 4 clubs thriving, 10 travelling well and 4 taking losses year after year. Helps in creating an equal competition too.
