    It is interesting. Not sure if I am a fan of 5th placed being eliminated if they lose no matter what but I guess it adds so much more to the importance of the top 4.

    Much better system imo. This line says it pretty good:

    'Each of the top four teams needs only to win two finals matches to reach the Grand Final, while the bottom four ranked teams must win three.'

    I think you really do deserve that extra buffer if you're good enough to finish top 4 over 26 rounds of competition.

    Happens all te time in AFL. Happened last year to Carlton, they only managed to win that one final. This system allows the top 4 an easier route to te GF, which is deserving.

    Yes it says that your finals system makes more sense to our new commission. That doesn't say anything about the fact that AFL is still for a bunch of pussies who get rewarded for failing. It's like the retard on your team who wins the "most improved award" at the end of the season. You fucking failed but we felt bad so here you go have an award.
