You can take my word for it or not. I don't give a shit either way. Look up the stats at NRL Stats for yourself.
Someone to post if they can find it the Warriors winning percentage when Vatuvei does and does not play for the Warriors over the past three seasons. From memory it's diabolical.

I know it. His work from dummy-half is the best of any winger in the game, and there's good statistical evidence to support that theory.
Depends who your other players in the backline are imo. If I had someone like GInglis at centre I'd take Perrett hands down but if I had someone like Lyon I'd take Vatuvei.
Nah not under rated imo, certainly not the most UR'd in the game thats for sure. He will probs make the Kiwi team.
Look up the stats on NRLstats.com and compare Perrett's dummy-half metres, with Vatuvei's hit-up and dummy-half metres.
Vatuvei's hit-ups are a lot harder yards than Perrett's dummy half runs though. Perrett slips in there when he sees the markers aren't ready or when there's a roll on and pinches 9m before diving at the lock's feet.. Vatuvei hits it up like a front rower in traffic. Perrett's a very good dummy half runner and it's a valuable asset but to say he makes harder yards than Vatuvei would be ridiculous.
The majority of Perrett's DH runs are from his own end. I didn't say he makes harder yards. I said, of the hard yards, Perrett makes more.
I agree. That strengthens my point. People think of Vatuvei as a helper of the front rowers - Perrett does far more, regardless of whether he takes a ruck from acting half or first receiver, like Vatuvei.
If the markers are set though, Perrett just doesn't take the run. Running from dummy half only works at certain junctures, regardless of how good at it you are. Vatuvei's can make metres from his own end even against a set defence.
