So you've watched him play a different sport in different conditions?

My mistake, your opinion actually is valid...

Fitness is fitness. Not your field of expertise, so i'll let you off.

You're commenting on shit you have no idea about. Have you even seen an origin match before?

If he wasn't fit enough to play wing in origin, he isn't fit enough to do it in the NRL and he has been handling that pretty well.

You just thought "Oh he is new and people say origin is faster, so I'm just gonna say something to seem smarter"

    Idiot

  4. Farny AP Farnsworth

Yeah, I have last years on DVD.

And it's not a question of being fit or not being fit. He never had a great work rate playing union. Origin is the highest standard there is, and it'll demand the highest work rate. At this moment in time he couldn't hack it. Maybe a season in the NRL will change that, but I dunno. He's getting on a bit.

He would need to make a few tackles and get in to dummy half and take some pressure off. He would definitely be fit enough.

I think you're forgetting he is a winger, not a lock.

You originally said he wasn't fit enough. You didn't say his workrate wasn't good enough.

I don't want Lote in the team. But his fitness is the last concern when it comes to his selection.

  8. Farny AP Farnsworth

    Higher fitness -> higher workrate.

But I kind of agree -i'd actually have questions about his straight line speed.

Fitness doesn't come into workrate for wingers, IMO.

If them being too tired is the reason they aren't getting involded then they shouldn't be in the team.

With all the injuries at the moment, he is 3rd choice winger behind Inglis and Folau.

  10. Lukic L Popovic

Lote is fit enough, I've watched him with the greatest detail of all members in his 3 matches. Fitness will not be a problem at all if he's selected for origin.

Lote is great. He is better than Dell as well. Just not as big a personality.

In fantasy scoring world he is doing ok, although I believe he is not tearing the world apart in League, though there probly is defiantly room for improvement and would be doing better than any of the backs at Cronulla.

Contemplating selection of Tuqiri is absurd, given our options. We have Boyd, Inglis, Tate, Folau and Tonga as our "elite" options for the four, flank spots. Whatever slight advantage Tuqiri has over Boyd and Tonga and Folau in total matches, is negated by a very lengthy hiatus - 2002 to be precise.

Nothing I've seen from him warrants any form of disloyalty to the blokes who've done the job over the last four years.

Furthermore, Harrison at centre with Inglis on the wing, should it come to that, would also be more desirable IMO.

Tuquiri is playing in the NRL? When the **** did this happen?

  15. Fan09 ND Short

    Ah officially February 2010.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I would rather Lote on the wing instead of Boyd, but it doesn't bother me who got the nod if there was another injury.

Moving Harrison from the second row would be insane. How many breaks has he set up linking Lockyer and Inglis? He might be able to do the same at centre, but then Inglis loses his winger who he usually set up to score. Harrison must stay in the 11 jersey.

Wouldn't Inglis play in the centres? Sorry, if it's a stupid question we don't get much RL coverage in Victoria.

  18. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    He will do both.

He will defend on the wing and let the much better defender in Tonga do all the tackling at centre. But when QLD have the ball he will swap with Tonga as he is much better with ball in hand.

If Tuqiri plays then Inglis will need to defend at centre.

  19. Mousey AJ Son

    Ahh, okay, I see.

    **** the Victorian media!
