    Yep, spot on. I think Sterling is right when talking about it needs to be in chronological order. Anybody who retired before Johns shouldn't be eligible. After Lockyer it will need to be Smith, Godges or Thurston.

    No disagree. They've skipped deserving Immortals from previous generations. Others deserve to be there as well. Johns was inducted too early.

    He's the best fullback I've seen play the game and it's a tremendous credit to him having mastered two different positions. He was also clutch as fuck and found ways to win many important games. Excellent leader too. On the other hand, he never really dominated the club competition like Joey did. Nor was he remotely comparable to Lewis in Origin.

    I'm happy enough for him to be an Immortal though.

    Summed it up pretty well here, IMO.

    One of my favourite moments ever in State of Origin was when he intercepted that errant pass by Brett Hodgson to score the series-winning try in game 3 of 2006. Absolute legend.
