    Those are some fit props.

What about on defence then will they set screens for kickers?

  3. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Haha, indeed. :p

Well, there actually isn't one there on the last tackle, nor if there's a dummy half run, so they do get *some* rest.

From what I gather with your explanation of the lock position, if a team makes a line break and a quick play the ball, the whole defensive line will be in the correct position and no gaps will exist?

Also will playmakers have a preferred kicking option i.e grubber, bomb or chip etc and would the playmaker decide what side they kick to more regularly by whichever winger/centre has better the better attribute for the kick.

ie playmaker would bomb to left hand side more often because Vatuvei can jump higher then Kemp?

Are we able to choose what defense style we use(Up and in, slide etc)

  7. Fungus K Fung

I'm more interested in whether we can choose what percentage on the type of kicks we want.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Wing would be your best lock, IMO.

    Reshuffles

    Attacking Reshuffles

Fullback playing the ball - Centre to fullback, lock to centre
Winger playing the ball - Centre to wing, lock to centre
Centre playing the ball - Lock to centre
Half playing the ball - Lock to half *
Hooker playing the ball - Lock to hooker
Prop playing the ball - Second row to prop, lock to second row
Second row playing the ball - Lock to second row

    * In instances where lock goes to halfback, I'm considering having the fullback go to halfback, lock go to centre and centre go to fullback. I'd like to hear some feedback on this.

    Defensive Reshuffles

Standard defensive line (assuming both second rowers in at marker):
Wing, Centre, Half, Lock, Prop, Prop, Hooker, Half, Centre, Wing

Fullback at marker - Wing to fullback, centre to wing, half to centre, second row to half
Winger at marker - Centre to wing, half to centre, second row to half
Centre at marker - Half to centre, second row to half
Half at marker - second row to half
Hooker at marker - Second row to hooker
Prop at marker - Second row to prop
Lock at marker - Second row to lock

Would definitely prefer that. Any way to make it an option depending on what the coach wants?

I'd rather the lock just go to one of the two halves than to centre in attack.

Most teams have a lock who can play a five-eighth role.....Sutton/Wing, Hilder, Young, Tongue, Mateo, Lewis/Smith, Harrison etc etc.

AFAIC most of them would be much better (with the odd exception) just slotting into a five-eighth role where all they do is catch and pass or take the line on closer to the ruck.

Tongue, Johnson, Young, Hilder etc etc would all be ordinary at centre IMO.

If halfback is tackled, full back to 5/8th, 5/8th to halfback

The amount of gaps in the line is determined by:

    • The momentum of the team, determined by how many metres they gained on the last play.
    • The creativity of the player attempting to put players through.
    • The hole-running of the player going through.
    • The defensive positioning of the players either side of the potential gap

The main point regarding your question would I suppose be that first one. If you've just made 40 metres on one play, there will be gaps galore. That a player is trying to get into a certain position does not mean he will actually be there in time ready to make a tackle.

Would we be able to choose which centre moves?

And with the fullback to half instead of lock, could we choose to have that not happen. I'd much rather my lock to half than my fullback.

  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Are we able to sort tactics. Like playing the Dragqueens are we able to target Soward.

  16. Cribbage RG Cribb

No positional difference between halfback and five-eighth, as I explained before. Just a role difference. It'll automatically determine which half is the organiser and which is the creator based on the difference based on their attributes. So the lock would almost certainly end up as the "five-eighth" if he ended up in the halves unless you named Brett Kimmorley or lock or something. :p

You're asking a lot of questions about choices at the moment.

As the simulator stands, you can't choose anything other than your lineup. The things you are asking are complex things that I'll look to add in later.

  18. Andato BJT Manera

    All would be swell then.

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

The only way you could target him would be guessing which side of the field he'd be named on and stacking it with your best attacking players.

  20. Speirz DG Speirs

I'd much prefer to see Matt Bowen in the halves than LO'D for instance. Or Wade McKinnon rather than Jacob Lillyman. You could argue both ways really. I just don't think it should be ruled out completely if that can be helped.
