    Maybe Ted doesn't actually stay with the mother of his kids. Maybe she dies, or maybe they break up.. and then he gets with Robin.

    I mean, I think there's next to no chance of it happening but it gives something for you to cling onto and something for Speirz to want to punch walls thinking about.

    Yeah not saying it'll ever happen, became clear ages ago. But even after the last episode it seems like it would have worked.

    Always thought the show would end like this season did where they just show the mother in the last few seconds.
